TBH is a public education service of the Texas Archeological Research Laboratory at the University of Texas at Austin . TBH interprets and shares the results of archeological and historical research on the cultural heritage of Texas with the citizens of Texas and the world.
TOMFRA is a statewide organization of historians and early architecture enthusiasts joined in our interest in preserving the mission and fort heritage of Texas.
CAR is a non-profit research entity that studies the full range of prehistoric and historic period societies that inhabited the Southern Plains and adjoining regions prior to Euroamerican settlement. With this broad range of interests, which spans early Holocene foragers to Anglo buffalo hunters of the late 1870's, we are interested in understanding the variability and continuity underlying adaptations to the region.
CAS is a research center within the Department of Anthropology at Texas State University. CAS’s primary goal is to provide training and research opportunities to Texas State University students who wish to pursue a career in applied anthropology.

For more than 40 years, INA has been affiliated with Texas A&M University (TAMU). Numerous INA officers are faculty in TAMU’s graduate Nautical Archaeology Program (NAP), which offers an M.S. in Maritime Archaeology and Conservation and a Ph.D. in Anthropology. In collaboration with NAP faculty, NAP graduate students, and INA research associates, INA sponsors projects all over the world.
Shumla is a global leader in rock art research and education. We use advanced science and technology in our fight to preserve the information held in the oldest “books” in North America — the endangered murals of the Lower Pecos Canyonlands of Texas.
